The Department of Radiology at the Citizens Specialty Hospital offers comprehensive and advanced diagnostic radiological facilities. The department also offers interventional and therapeutic radiological services. The team at the Department of Radiology is extensively experienced and trained to perform complex imaging procedures. The team is committed to delivering the imaging results as quickly as possible for early diagnosis and management of the disease. The imaging techniques available at the hospital are transrectal ultrasound, transvaginal ultrasound, endoscopic ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography scan, X-rays, and positron emission tomography.
Radiologists guide medical personnel for localization of disease during surgery, insertion of catheters and stents, and abscess drainages. Radiologists also perform image-guided interventional procedures (biopsy, Fine needle aspiration, and ascitic/pleural fluid tapping). Radiologists notify doctors of critical investigation findings as soon as possible, ensuring that patients with critical findings receive timely treatment.
We use a state-of-the-art PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and proprietary RIS (Radiology Information System) to store all images taken on campus.Doctors on our campus can use these systems to view images from a patient’s current hospital stay or one from the past, which can help make diagnoses faster and care more accurate.
