She currently serves as Lead – Hepatology & Liver Transplantation at Citizens Multi Speciality Hospital, where she provides comprehensive care for patients with advanced liver diseases.

Her clinical expertise encompasses alcoholic and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, cirrhosis and its complications, acute and acute-on-chronic liver failure, viral and autoimmune hepatitis, hereditary liver disorders, liver tumours, and pregnancy-related liver diseases. She has extensive experience in the pre- and post-operative management of liver transplant patients, including transplant rejection, infections, sepsis, CMV infection and long-term follow-up.

She completed her DM in Medical Gastroenterology & Hepatology from Sri Ramachandra University, Chennai, followed by a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Transplant Hepatology at Dr. Rela Institute & Medical Centre.

Alongside her clinical practice, she has actively contributed to academic medicine through scientific publications, clinical presentations and research in areas such as liver cirrhosis, liver failure, hepatocellular carcinoma and liver transplantation. Her contributions to the field have been recognised with several honours, including the Indian Book of Records, WASME Global Icon Award, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Award for Women Empowerment Excellence and National Achiever Award – 2022. Her professional focus is particularly centred on advancing liver care and improving early detection and management of fatty liver disease and other chronic liver conditions.
