Dr. Kaushik completed his MBBS from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, followed by an MS in General Surgery from Gandhi Medical College, Secunderabad. Recognized for his academic excellence, he secured All India Rank 1 in the super-specialty entrance examination and pursued his M.Ch. in Surgical Oncology at the prestigious Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry.
Before joining Citizens Specialty Hospital, Hyderabad, Dr. Kaushik served at several renowned oncology centers across India, including MNJ Institute of Oncology, AIG Hospitals, Mahatma Gandhi Cancer Hospital, Balco Medical Centre, and American Oncology Institute. His extensive experience includes the surgical management of cancers involving the head and neck, breast, thyroid, esophagus, stomach, liver, pancreas, colon, rectum, gynecological organs, kidneys, bladder, testis, thorax, and soft tissue sarcomas.
Dr. Kaushik has a special interest in Minimally Invasive Cancer Surgery, including advanced laparoscopic and robotic techniques, which help patients experience less pain, smaller incisions, faster recovery, and shorter hospital stays whenever clinically appropriate. He is also among the few specialists trained in Cytoreductive Surgery (CRS) with Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) and Pressurized Intraperitoneal Aerosol Chemotherapy (PIPAC) for selected patients with advanced abdominal cancers.
