Cosmetology

Cosmetology involves altering the appearance of skin, hair, and nails to make people look good. It enhances the aesthetic appearance of a person by applying cosmetic therapies, procedures, and treatments. It involves manicures, pedicures, skin exfoliation, and wrinkle reduction.

Our Offerings

  • Double Chin Reduction: Double chin is also known as submental fullness. It involves the development of excess fat that results in a double chin. There are several reasons for a double chin, such as weight, hereditary factors, airway positioning, and individual anatomy. Surgical interventions to correct the double chin include a face-lift, liposuction, and a neck lift. The patients may experience swelling or bruising at the treatment site for about 10 to 14 days.
  • Microblading: This technique involves semi-permanent tattooing to give thin eyebrows a darker or fuller appearance. The dermatologist uses a hand-held microblade tool and needles during the microblading procedure. If untrained people perform the procedure, there is a risk of infection, allergic reaction, and skin trauma. The procedure lasts almost two hours, and the effects are seen immediately after the treatment.
  • Skin Lightening: The skin lightening procedure aims to lighten the dark skin areas and provide a pale skin tone. The skin lightening treatment reduces the concentration of melanin by lowering its production. Melanin is a pigment present in the skin that imparts color. The skin-lightening techniques involve skin-lightening creams and lasers. Skin lightening creams are available with or without prescription. The laser damages the cells that produce melanin or removes the upper skin layer.
  • Botox: Botox injections are generally used to minimize the appearance of wrinkles. The injection comprises onobotulinumtoxinA, which paralyzes the muscles. Dermatologists with experience in the administration of Botox should do the procedure.
  • Fillers: These injectable substances enhance shallow contours, reduce facial creases, reduce wrinkles and plump thin lips, and improve scar appearance. Dermal fillers include calcium hydroxylapatite, polyalkylimide, hyaluronic acid, and polylactic acid.
